Peak of the Season
August 06, 2010
It's the peak of the cherry season, you live in the Okanagan and you're a chef or winemaker. You can't help yourself, it's preserve, can, cook, bottle or bust!
We recently visited BC's Interior region (from Kamloops to Oliver) and encountered several happy local cooks with stems in their mouths and telltale juice stains on their aprons.
Obviously it's not difficult to find inspiration when you have a full bucket of cherries.
Here's some delicious ideas on how to use up the crop from some of the region's top kitchens.
