They Dished and they Dazzled

Drinks before dinner ... They dished and they most certainly dazzled at last evening's Dish and Dazzle fundraising gala in support of the B.C. Hospitality Foundation Fund.

Organized by Jay Jones, a director of the Canadian Professional Bartenders Association (CPBA), the event featured six of the most accomplished names on the Vancouver bartending scene, partnered with six premium spirits brands. The presence of the star bartenders, who offered their unique and often intricate signature cocktails added a refreshing new element to the restaurant/winery combo format that is the usual supporting backbone of these types of events, and their talent is one that we hope other events will continue to drawn on.

Bartenders participating in the event included:

Danielle Tatarin – Keefer Bar at The Keefer
Simon Ogden – Veneto Lounge at the Hotel Rialto
Shaun Layton – L’Abattoir
Lauren Mote – The Refinery
Shawn Soole – Clive’s Classic Lounge at Chateau Victoria
Jacob Sweetapple – Fairmont Pacific Rim Hotel

BCHF's goal via this fundraiser and its silent auction was to raise $60,000 for their charitable fund which assists people employed in BC's hospitality industry who are challenged by financial, health or educational needs.
