Lake Breeze Seven Poplars Wines Released
(From the press release.)

Lake Breeze Vineyards fall release of their Seven Poplars series of wines are now available.

This sought after group of wines includes the robust and rich 2010 Seven Poplars Merlot, the elegant 2010 Seven Poplars Pinot Noir and the Lake Breeze signature 2010 Seven Poplars Pinotage. The whites include a crisp and fresh Seven Poplars 2011 Chardonnay and a classic and lively Seven Poplars 2011 Sauvignon Blanc.

Garron Elmes, Winemaker, comments, "We have carefully selected the best grapes from what we believe are the best varietal specific sites along the Naramata Bench for these wines. The Seven Poplars label pays homage to the magnificent 87 year old poplar trees that for many years were visible from miles away. Unfortunately time caught up with them and we were recently forced to cut them down. The Seven Poplars label remains as a reminder of a part of the Lake Breeze history."

SP 2010 Merlot - (0 dry)
This rich and full bodied Merlot is full of aromas of strawberry, plum and black cherry with notes of coffee. The palate is rich with red berry flavours and spicy oak. It is well structured with fine tannin and a long finish. Great with red meats and will stand up to rich sauces.

SP 2010 Pinot Noir - (0 dry)
Pinot Noir is a very fickle variety requiring constant attention as well as lots of work during the growing season. You will find predominant aromas of raspberry, black cherry and anise with an earthy background. A well-structured wine designed for food.

SP 2010 Pinotage - (0 dry)
This grape variety originated in South Africa - a crossing of Pinot Noir and Cinsaut. With under half an acre on our property, the production is limited to just 60 cases. Great fruit intensity with underlying spice make this a great match with lamb and game.
