A 15th Anniversary Pinot Noir for Lake Breeze *

* (Directly from the press release.)

In honour of their 15th vintage, Naramata's Lake Breeze Vineyards has released their 2010 XV Anniversary Pinot Noir.

A fitting tribute, this wine is a perfect expression of the Lake Breeze terroir, made entirely from estate grown grapes. The XV Pinot also commemorates 15 consecutive years of creating award-winning wines at Lake Breeze for winemaker Garron Elmes.

Garron comments, "The fruit for this single vineyard wine was grown on our home site on the Naramata Bench which has created a wine with great varietal expression. Ripe red berry flavours and aromas mingle with earthy, cigar-box notes, resulting in a complex and structured wine. Elegant cherry flavours and fine tannins will be further enhanced with a year or two in the bottle, this is a wine to savour."

Lake Breeze is proud to have presented the XV Pinot at a winery concert which raised $17,000 for the Penticton & District Community Resources Society.

This limited production wine, only 110 cases produced, is available by the bottle ($49); in a six pack presented in a wooden pack crate ($270); or in a magnum format, only 120 produced, presented in its own wooden box ($99). The wine is available only at the wine shop.

Garron has been the winemaker at Lake Breeze for 17 years, since the very first days of the winery. Now a Canadian citizen, Garron was born in Capetown, South Africa. He attended Elsenburg College in Stellenbosch, gaining diplomas in both oenology and viticulture. Garron welcomes you to the Lake Breeze Farm to sample his wines, which emphasize the true character of each varietal -- from the Lake Breeze signature Pinot Blanc to the Seven Poplars Pinot Noir.

Lake Breeze Vineyards offers enriched and enhanced winery experiences, continuing their reputation of being one of the best winery destinations in the Okanagan Valley.
