Construction at TELUS Garden has been going on for ages, and there's still work to do, however just off the lobby, The Glowbal Group has opened NOSH -- their new eat-in, take-out option on Georgia St. Situated to serve the downtown office crowd, they will nevertheless operate all day long from breakfast at 7:30 a.m. to post dinner drinks, and yes, for those with a little more time to lounge in the sun, there's a patio! Order from the menu or grab-and-go from the pre-made selection of salads, sandwiches and baked goods. Online ordering will soon be available.

New to the Canadian market and coming soon to Vancouver is SoCIAL LITE, a pre-mixed Vodka cooler that promises no sugar, no artificial sweeteners, no carbs and no additives. Available in two flavours: Lime Ginger and Lemon Cucumber Mint, calories clock in at 80 per 355 mL can. Says company spokesperson, Dan Beach, "We believe that consumers don’t need to compromise their healthy lifestyle in order to have a few drinks". Hear, hear. Calgarians have been snapping it off the shelves and the product has been featured on Dragon's Den.
More new 'healthier' vodka coolers - and these are local. PERCY'S OLD FASHIONED LEMONADE is made with Marcus von Albrecht's XFour Vodka, flavoured with natural lemon and sweetened with honey. While Percy’s Punch adds fresh local grown mint, blueberries and a splash of ginger for added zing. As with all XFour brand products these contain no preservatives, glycerines, emulsifiers, additives or sweeteners. The water even comes from British Columbia’s pristine (and hopefully ash-free) interior. Available at private liquor stores and restaurants.
