Spring Eating: Ivory Salmon at Hapa Umi


In all the excitement of spot prawn season, let us not forget another seasonal B.C seafood - wild spring salmon.

Hapa Umi, the sleek new Japanese seafood restaurant near Canada Place, is now offering this firm, silky and underrated fish on their dinner menu priced at $24, and it makes a nice alternative to halibut, the other pale fish of spring, currently dominating menus around town.
