Other People's Bright Ideas: Board Game Cafe

Many have lamented the fact that cafes, once the seedbeeds of philosophy, revolution and the next breakthrough idea in the arts and sciences (thanks to the ideal set-up for lively, in-your-face discussion), have now become places where no one talks to anyone anymore.

A customer may sit for hours with his nose stuck to the screen of his laptop or smart phone, oblivious to the fact that the stranger he is exchanging tweets with is seated at the next table.  Alas, too often, the social part of our social age seems only to thrive in the non-physical world.
