Limited Edition Scotch Gelato


Here's one for the hostess...

There's a reason why the B.C. pioneers used to place a bottle of whiskey on the window ledge outside their cabins every winter.  Theoretically, pure spirits can't freeze. So if the hooch solidified into a block of ice, the savvy oldtimers knew better than to venture outdoors.

It's because of this well-known scientific principle that James Coleridge of Vancouver's Bella Gelateria knew he had a challenge on his hands when the local importers of the Ileach 58% Cask Strength Scotch asked him to come up with a Scotch and chocolate gelato incorporating both the top rated spirit as well as the internationally renowned Michel Cluziel Mangaro chocolate.
