Bitter Feast


What's love got to do with it?

Not much. Bitter Feast is one food film that won't be offering up Julia Roberts, loving family Sunday dinners, or cake frosting.

It's a food horror film, and quite frankly there haven't been too many of those around. At least not since Soylent Green and Silence of the Lambs, and even those flicks didn't have cameras focused on bloody cooking scenes.

The plot sounds like many a chef's secret fantasy. A pompous, self-righteous TV star chef, the kind who likes to brag about his foraging skills for sustainable ingredients and nags his audience about socio/agricultural issues, becomes so enraged by the postings of an obnoxious internet restaurant critic that he kidnaps the fellow, drags him out to an isolated cabin in the woods and tortures him. ...
