Maybe We Shouldn't Be Eating This

This looks like it's going to be fun.

In the swanky new Vancouver-based blog "Maybe We Shouldn't be Eating This", an unidentified blogger proposes to plumb the mysteries of her vintage cookbook collection by chosing a recipe each week, making it, eating it, and then reporting on the results.

Will the Pickle-Peanut Butter-Egg Spread taste as ghastly as it sounds? And why does one book cover illustration depict avocado slices floating in cups of tea?

Thanks to our culinary anthropologist, we'll find out.

Let's hope the blogger has a Frigidaire stocked with plenty of maraschino cherries, pineapple slices ... and maybe a big bottle of Pepto Bismol.
