FIGHT BREAST CANCER WITH THE POWER OF PINK

Vancouver, BC… Le Gavroche Restaurant’s years of experience supporting local causes and initiatives sets a course to conquer. For the Month of May, Le Gavroche will be donating $5 from every $75 four-course, Power of Pink menu to the BC Cancer Foundation in support of critical breast cancer research. Think; a pink affair rosé and bubbly inspired.

Having recently lost a long-time friend to a cancer that has predominately been diagnosed in women, owner Manuel Ferreira hosts a month-long fight back. Local artist Lori Goldberg is donating a signature still-life piece painted at the dinner to launch the campaign. The finished painting will be hung at Le Gavroche until the end of May with final bid donated to the BC Cancer Foundation.

The Power of Pink menu features such choice selections as Pink Belgium Endive, Stilton, Port Dressing, accompaniment Joie Rosé. As an entrée choice, Wild Salmon, Cauliflower, & Pesto Vinaigrette a crisp St-Hubertus Rosé is the pairing. Finale incorporates a Le Gavroche classic, a Passion Fruit Soufflé highlighted by a bubble, Moet & Chandon Rosé Brut. Just a few menu choices that’ll ensure everyone leaves ‘pinkified’ for the cause.

In 2006, it is estimated that 22,200 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer and 5,300 will die of it. An estimated 160 men will be diagnosed with breast cancer and 45 will die of it.
