FOUR SEASONS RELEASES RENOVATION PLANS

(Directly from the press release.)

Vancouver, BC: Premiering this November, Four Seasons Hotel Vancouver's renovation kicks off with the opening of a new restaurant, lounge and bar.

San Francisco-based Engstrom Design Group has been contracted to create the `new look'. "The design is bold and contemporary, referencing the contrast inherent in the striking natural beauty of the Vancouver geography and the textural urban context." says Jennifer Johanson, CEO and President. EDG has experience in designing restaurants at sister Four Seasons properties in Las Vegas and Maui at Wailea.

Focal points of the large space are the new open kitchen and dramatic bar set against the backdrop of a massive 'green' wall of live foliage. Ottoman lounge chairs line a sculptural fire place. An interactive kitchen counter/bar placed between the restaurant and lounge welcomes guests to try the cool tastes of Vancouver.

The dining room's two story ceiling frames the space where guests can choose from various dining options, communal table or intimate dining booths. Central to the room, framed beneath the skylight is an exclusive glass enclosed private dining room with sketched imagery of coastal mountain scenes.

Executive Chef Rafael Gonzalez'.s food is intensely flavorful. "Vancouver is a melting pot of so many cultures." says Chef Gonzalez. "I want to respect the integrity of the flavours of the natural ingredients, but make them dance on the plate. I'm bringing fresh, local and new to the table."

"Four Seasons Hotel Vancouver has been a part of the community for over 31 years and this renovation is significant." says General Manager Guy Rigby. "This isn't just a renovation; we are adding a whole new flavour to the city".
