ANNOUNCING THE 2007 INDUCTEES TO THE BC RESTAURANT HALL OF FAME

The votes were extremely close in most categories. Once again, we had a tie. While this seems practically impossible, this is the second year for a tie. The committee consists of 75 prominent individuals from the BC restaurant industry: 30 active restaurateurs, 9 industry members (Chefs, Managers etc.); 10 suppliers and 11 media.

The Gala and induction ceremony will be Monday, April 23, 2007 at the Parkview Terrace at the Vancouver Convention and Exhibition Centre. The evening consists of a VIP reception for past and present inductees and Media, from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. The ticket holders evening begins with a reception at 5:00 p.m, followed by a five-course dinner at 6:30. p.m. prepared by Chef Blair Rasmussen.

Each inductee or representative will be called to the stage, interviewed by our emcee Duncan Holmes, (a brief two or three questions) then given 3 minutes to speak.

Please be advised that tickets sell out very quickly to this event. Tickets are $150 per ticket, which includes a Summerhill Cipes reception, a five-course dinner paired with BC wines, followed by dessert, icewines and port. The evening is black tie optional.

Also be advised The Fairmont Waterfront and the Delta Vancouver Suites have offered Hall of Fame guests special rates of $129.00 (FW) and $139.00 (DVS) per night.
