EAT! Fraser Valley Debuts This Weekend

EAT! FRASER VALLEY Activities to be experienced at EAT! Fraser Valley Food + Cooking Festival at Tradex Exhibition Centre in Abbotsford on September 12, 13 & 14.( Directly from the press release.) Slice & Dice!Watch Food Network’s super stars Bob Blumer ( The Surreal Gourmet/ Glutton for Punishment) and Laura Calder ( French Food at Home) as they slice and dice and recreate their signature recipes right in front of your eyes. This is Laura’s first live appearance on the West Coast! Also appearing on the Food Network Celebrity Stage at EAT! Fraser Valley will be some of the Valley’s greatest chefs, including Marcel Pheiffer from the Bluestone Bistro & Lounge, Michael Dicks from the Q Steakhouse and Paul Duhre from Grillz BBQ House. Sip & Swirl!A unique tasting experience awaits you at EAT! Fraser Valley’s Wine, Beer & Spirits Tasting Pavilion where numerous Fraser Valley and region wineries, cideries and breweries will be sampling their unique products. Here you will find wines from farm gate vineyards, iced cider, fruit & berry wines, organic alcoholized fruit beverages and of course a wide range of craft beers. There are a number of new releases at the festival! An added feature is the Grapes and Hops Stage where BC’s own Wine Diva, Daenna Van Mulligen, sommelier David McIlwraith and Colin Jack and Rick Mohabir from Just Here for the Beer will be conducting presentations and seminars on everything from wine and food pairing to beer and chocolate appreciation. Bite & Swallow!Eat your way through the cuisines of numerous restaurants all in one day at the Bite of the Valley Restaurant Pavilion where you can savour appy-size portions of the signature dishes of some of the Fraser Valley’s finest restaurants. Also, you may sit and enjoy sampling a variety of delightful artisan cheeses in the Dairy Farmers of Canada sponsored Cheese Seminar. Taste & Buy!Browse through over one hundred exhibits on the main Festival Floor where you will be able to sample a variety of food and beverage products, many hard to find items. You will have an opportunity to discuss the merits of the various products direct with the grower, producer or distributor and have a chance to purchase right there on the show floor at special show pricing.
