FESTIVAL OPENING FOR MYSALA INDIAN BISTRO
(Edited from the Press Release.)

Vancouver, BC — For the past seven years hometown boys Davy Sangara and Paul Thind have been carefully perfecting the recipes for their Indian sauces and condiments that make up the Mysala Foods product line. Now they are channeling all that knowledge and expertise into the launch of their new culinary venture – Mysala Indian Bistro.

This new 60-seat restaurant with bar service area is located at 980 Granville Street in Vancouver and will serve lunch from 11:30am to 2:30pm, dinner from 5pm to 10pm and tapas till midnight everyday of the week.

Managing partner Paul Thind says, “Mysala Indian Bistro provides diners with a unique atmosphere by blending traditional Indian cuisine with western hospitality in a sophisticated contemporary bistro setting.

“Our restaurant offers culinary creations, prepared from fresh local ingredients, with herbs and spices imported directly from India. The menu features dishes created to capture the distinct flavors and styles of the six major culinary regions of India - Punjab, Kashmir, Mumbia, Bengal, Goa and Kerala.

Thind explains, “Mysala has invited consulting chefs to assist with the creation of contemporary Indian dishes by enhancing traditional recipes with modern culinary techniques and presentation to design a menu that offers shared-plate style dining and Indian classics.

An Indian style festival is planned for the opening that will start with a VIP night on Thursday, December 6th and continue with a general three-day opening until Sunday Dec. 9th.

All weekend ladies dressed in colorful saris will be circulating with tantalizing samples of menu items. Later each evening, listen to the rhythmic sound of the tabla amongst your favorite tracks, the latest Indian house and bhangra beats mixed by live DJs.

Those interested in attending one of the weekend dining events should RSVP before noon on Dec. 7th to pault@mysalafoods.com or call 604-436-9432 to be confirmed on the guest list.
