BRANDEVER (OF VANCOUVER) WINS INTERNATIONAL DESIGN AWARD

Bernie Hadley-Beauregard is pleased to announce that on November 12th, his design and marketing company Brandever, won a Gold Award for his Megalomaniac wine package design in London England at the prestigious London International Awards.

The London International Awards organization reports that of the 17,660 submissions, only six percent (6%) reached Finalist status. Of those elite selections, 1.4% attained Silver status and only 0.5% were awarded Gold Statues.

London International Awards honours preeminent work in advertising, design and digital media. Now in its 22nd year, the organisation's coveted statue has become an international icon of creative excellence. London International Awards is respected in an industry already saturated with awards because of its renowned jury panels and stringent judging process.

In June 2007, Brandever and Megalomaniac Wines won the Best of Show for wine labeling at the 2007 San Francisco International Wine Competition. The SF Competition is the largest and most prestigious wine competition in North America.

This excellent news happens on the eve of Megalomaniac wines being introduced in LCBO Vintages stores, and Brandever launching of another winery in Ontario - The Organized Crime Winery.

ADDITIONAL SCREENINGS OF LOCAL-FOOD DOCUMENTARY “TABLELAND� ADDED AFTER SELL-OUT OF PREMIERE

After selling out the announced Vancouver premiere of “Tableland�, an exciting new film that profiles the production and benefits of local and seasonal food from field to plate, Pixel One Productions has added an additional screening for Vancouverites on December 2 at 4:00 pm at the Ridge Theatre.

The original screening of Tableland at the Vancity Theatre on December 3 sold out in two days. Tickets for the December 2 screening are $10 and now on sale at the Ridge box office or online at www.festivalcinemas.ca. Tableland’s award-winning filmmaker Craig Noble will be on hand at the Ridge for a Q & A period following the screening.

Tableland recently joined forces with Get Local, a non-profit organization that raises awareness about the benefits of buying local foods and products, and connects British Columbians with businesses that offer them.

Tableland brings a timely message of re-localizing North American food systems and a return to a fresher, healthier way of feeding ourselves. From the orchards of BC, the inner city gardens of Chicago to the Napa Highlands and everywhere in between, Tableland showcases the successful production of tasty, local, and seasonal food from field to plate. Noble’s first documentary, City Space, continues to have great success, winning the New York Independent Film Festival award for Best Documentary on Video, and screening worldwide. Tableland is his first feature film.
