JOHN BISHOP CREATES A MENU TO LAUNCH NEW BC FERRY FROM GERMAN FACTORY

Das Superboot ... John Bishop of Bishop's Restaurant will create special dishes for visitors attending a BC Ferries launch celebration in Germany.

The event marks the completion of a 160-metre Super C-class “Coastal Renaissance� ferry boat at the FSG Shipyards in Flensburg, Germany.

As part of the celebration, the vessel has been wrapped with massive photographic images and branding colors representing the 2010 Winter Games and the beauty of British Columbia. (The project is a collaborative effort by BC Ferries, VANOC and 3M Canada.

A real Kanadisches barbeque promoting the Province of British Columbia and the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games will be held as the ship departs from the shipyard in Flensburg. Back at home, Bishop's plans to recreate the menu and serve it to guests at a by-invitation party on the 14th.

Barbara-Jo's Books to Cooks has announced that September 13th will be the kick off date for their annual book sale. All regular stock will be marked down 20% and there will be deeper price slashes made on selected titles. Length of the sale depends on how quickly stock gets bought up.
