BURROWING OWL ESTATE WINERY ANNOUNCES THE APPOINTMENT OF CHEF BERNARD CASAVANT

Oliver, British Columbia – Proprietors Jim and Midge Wyse of Burrowing Owl Estate Winery, aware that Chef Bernard Casavant was interested in the new wave of culinary tourism in the Okanagan Valley, have asked him to fill the position of Executive Chef and Manager at the winery's Sonora Room Restaurant. The Sonora Room will re-open for the season at Easter with Chef Bernard in charge.

Born and raised in British Columbia, Chef Casavant represented Canada at the 1991 Bocuse d’Or Competition, and afterwards went on to many achievements as a leading chef and business owner in the culinary community at Whistler. Chef Bernard co-founded the Whistler Farmers Market and will continue this kind of alliance with the local farmers and producers of the Okanagan Valley.
