CELEBRATING THAILAND AT THE T&T

Today (July 6) is the first day of a week long festival of Thai cuisine taking place at T&T Supermarkets. To mark the occasion, representatives of the store as well as dignitaries from the Thai Trade Commission hosted a celebration at Vancouver's Sala Thai restaurant with displays of exotic produce from Thailand, the art of melon carvering, Thai massage, and of course, examples of colourful Thai Cuisine.

The dishes were demonstrated by Dr. Naruemon Nantaragsa (wearing the chef's hat), a woman who is a "food celebrity" in Thailand, as she is a renowned chef, food instructor, and the host of a number of popular TV and radio cooking shows in that country. Dr. Naruemon has been invited to visit Vancouver and to assist in the preparation of Thai foods that will be made available to patrons of the T&T this weekend (July 7th and 8th).

The complete festival will take place at all eight Lower Mainland locations of the store until July 12. For details on how you can win a trip to Thailand see the calendar listing here.
